Job Summary

The Business Development Support position will perform a variety of management functions with responsibility for day-to-day operations and processes involving all departments. This individual will work in the field as well as in the office to identify and plan activities and initiatives to drive sales revenue and to facilitate processes that support the business. Additionally, this position will have extensive knowledge of all the services and products offered by Hydro Engineering to ensure the needs of the customers are met.

Responsibilities

  • Supports sales and marketing efforts by reaching out to current or new customers through phone calls or other methods to demonstrate new products, explain features, solicit orders, and provide product samples or catalogs
  • Determines/understands customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying; provides alternative equipment suggestions to customers, if appropriate, based upon information obtained and comprehensive knowledge of all equipment available.
  • Searches for new business opportunities in other industries and markets where Hydro can be successful.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors by attending vendor training and tradeshows.
  • Communicates with production for upcoming equipment requirements.
  • Participates in yearly pricing discussions and strategies.
  • Establish goals and timelines for ongoing projects and process improvements.
  • Coordinates and administers safety programs
  • Assist the outside group in day-to-day operations including field work, sales, and process development.
  • Administers all aspects of rental contracts; accurate rental dates, rates and all ancillary charges, amendments, suspensions, terminations, filing of contracts and related paperwork, and checking invoices and credit memos against contract files.
  • May be responsible for other tasks, including but not limited to: picking up and delivering equipment, stocking and maintaining inventory, loading and unloading equipment, and/or performing basic maintenance to equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree preferred but not required Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or similar
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent time management skills
