Hydro Engineering is searching an entry level engineer to add to our current, exceptional team. Since we are a small company, a potential candidate will work with all areas of engineering, i.e. design/development, testing, quality analysis and manufacturing.

About Hydro Engineering

Founded in 1971, Hydro Engineering designs, manufactures and sells equipment that moves liquids — from frac water in the oil and gas Industry to biosolids at municipal waste plants. We’re best known for our pumping stations, layflat hose, hose reels and injectors.

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Manufacturing)
  • Work well in a team project setting
  • Have experience with a CAD Package (Solidworks, CREO, Autodesk, etc.)
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Multi-task and switch priorities as necessary
  • Accurately convey design intent through 2D drawings
  • Be willing to push oneself and those around you
  • Show a high level of attention to detail

In addition, it's helpful if you have:

  • A basic understanding of and ability to design and implement simple DC electronic circuits
  • Solidworks experience
  • Completed an internship in the field

While no two days are the same, below is an example of what a work day might involve:

  • Provide documentation and support to the manufacturing and sales teams
  • Analyze and continue to improve product functionality and pricing
  • Work with vendors to incorporate new technology into existing products
  • Participate in the development of new product
  • Provide service and support for flowmeters
  • Meet new people, serving as an ambassador for Hydro Engineering’s brand
