Job Summary

Responsible for hydraulic system design on new rig builds and refurbishments; Evaluate material selection based on structural requirements, tolerances, and sizing of system lines; Coordinate and manage plumbing and installation of hydraulic systems; Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics as required as well as construct HPU’s; and Maintain close contact and coordinate activities within other areas of new builds group.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand and follow engineering prints, shop orders and standard work documents to
    accomplish the assembly, maintenance or repair of equipment, parts and machines.
  • Perform all final assembly tasks
  • Inspects all assemblies for completeness and quality
  • Communicate with supervisor on any engineering print or assembly discrepancies
  • Responsible for general plant and work area housekeeping.
  • Follows safety rules and promotes safety to others
  • Returns all tools to their proper place by the end of each work day
  • Performs other duties and activities as assigned
  • Knowledge of the following: -Fluid Identification -Yellow Belt – Pipe Threading – Tube & Hose
    Installation Principles – Production Process -Hose Assembly -Tube Assembly

Qualifications

  • Six to twelve months of related experience, in: hydraulics / pneumatics / fluid power -Preferred
    Associates Degree or technical training in related field preferred
  • Sense of Urgency and Appropriate Use of Time
  • Self Initiative and Good Team Player
  • Basic computer skills to facilitate access to production related company files
  • The ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to complete detailed but simple written or oral
    instructions
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure: whole numbers, fractions and
    decimals and able to compute rate, ratio and percent
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions provided in written, oral or
    diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
